It’s like an accidental “send all” text. Remember Israel could not know everyones text number. And they did not put an explosive in every pager. Most likely that the pagers were made with a self destruct option. The device would receive a message that would set it off. Maybe the message had to come from headquarters. But its hard to believe that anyone but headquarters had all 2800 text numbers. The message had to come from there.
The point of a self destruct is if someones pager was lost or stolen they would blow it up instead of having it fall into the wrong hands. Unfortunately they sent a “send all” text instead of just sending the one to Mohamed. It was a simple mistake. Or the other possibility was that a normal send all text contained the self destruct code by accident. Either way its hard to believe Israel could pull this off without having a list of every single Hezbollah pager number. If they did, they have people in the highest levels of Hezbollah.
