Heartwarming Tales of Terrorists Blowing Themselves Up
RedState ^ | 9/17/2024 | Jim Thompson

We’ve recently read some heartwarming stories concerning terrorists in Lebanon being separated from their mortal coils as they were blown up by their own pagers. Israel had no comment other than (I'm guessing) Mossad agents giving each other high-fives for a job well done.

RedState's Susie Moore wrote:

I'm not sure who had exploding pagers on their Bingo cards for 2024, but why not? As Bonchie reported earlier:

In one of the most unbelievable developments of 2024, Israel somehow hacked into the pagers and cell phones of Hezbollah fighters and caused them to explode. News of hundreds of injuries, including dismemberments broke on Tuesday morning. Shortly after, videos of devices blowing up began to circulate.

Israel can’t admit to blowing up terrorists using pagers, but everyone knows it wasn’t lithium batteries that just all-of-sudden blew up at the same time. It was carried out by a nation-state intent on ending bad guys. If they weren't ended, they at least lost the use of some appendages. Technology has been used to great effect, eliminating terrorists or terror infrastructure. In 2021, Operation Olympic Games destroyed a cluster of Iranian centrifuges used, no doubt, to forward Iran’s nuclear bomb program. It was a cyber bug planted by Israel and the U.S. Other terror plots were foiled, not by sophisticated logic bombs or technology but by just dumb luck – and I mean dumb. As in, terrorists can be really dumb.

Eight years ago, Sevdet Ramadan Besim decided he was going stuff the pouches of kangaroos with explosives, then paint them in Islamic State colors. Apparently he thought the 'roos would just sit there compliantly. He intended to set them loose on the streets of Melbourne. No, seriously, Besim thought that he could corral kangaroos and maybe convince them to jihad themselves for the “cause.” He got caught before any kangaroo could beat him senseless and disembowel him. But my favorite feel-good dumb terrorist story happened 12 years ago in Bangkok, Thailand.

Three Iranian nationals were plotting an attack on Israeli diplomats using “sticky bombs.” The botched plot started botching when the rented apartment of three inept terrorists went...“boom!”

In March 2012, the Bangkok neighborhood shook when the apartment exploded, and three bloodied men staggered out of the building. The terrorists (who I will code-name Manny Moe and Curly) went in different directions. Saied Morad (code-name Curly because his hair was likely curled from the blast) was a 28-year-old Iranian [former] soldier. Curly was bleeding from his ears to his feet. He was carrying what witnesses described as a backpack and two black boxes. The black boxes were devices with green wires sticking out of them. Bloody Curly tried to hail a cab. The cab driver, seeing a bloody man who was perhaps still smoking from the apartment blast, refused to stop for Curly’s hail. In response, Curly tossed a bomb at the cabbie. Kaboom!

Curly had one bomb left. As the police closed in, he tried to toss his last bomb at the cops. Fortunately, his sticky bomb got stuck on something, and it boomeranged back at Curly and blew up, with the blast removing Curly’s legs from the rest of his body. It also removed his right eye. The police arrested what was left of Curly. Unfortunately for Curly, he didn’t get his 72 virgins on that fateful day. He survived. Curly appeared in court missing his legs and right eyeball, but he was still able to raise a defiant fist in the air. His defense was classic: “I had no idea where the bombs came from." He was shocked, shocked to find bombs in the cupboard. Curly claimed he had opened the kitchen cabinet and instead of falafels, he found...bombs. RUN! he told Manny and Moe. Curly took the brunt of the bomb blast. Unlike Curly's legs, his defense didn't fly. He was convicted and sentenced to 28 years in prison. Manny and Moe were also arrested and sent to prison.

The story of Manny Moe and Curly doesn’t have a completely feel-good happy ending. All three were repatriated - sent back to Iran in exchange for an Australian woman who Iran had managed to nab and arrest on trumped-up charges.

One hopes that Israel continues to “allegedly” blow up terrorists using the terrorists’ own pagers. One hopes that Iran continues to send dumb terrorists out into the wild, only to manage to blow themselves up or manage, as was the case for Curly, to separate himself from his legs and eyeball.

Gosh - and how many innocents have the terrorists slaughtered?

Cry me a river...

Genocide against terrorists is a moral imperative.

I am not finished with you yet. Don’t get comfortable. Showing disdain for any false religion or object used in that false religion is not disrespectful. The truth sometimes requires intense, overwhelming response to evil. History proves that such is true. And, stop threatening me.

And, stop threatening me.

You're making stuff up. What threat?

You didn't answer my question if you work for the Daily Wire. Again, is that you Ben?

I learned that a simple statement, "This article assumes that all who were injured were terrorists and that no innocent bystanders were injured as well." (Post 2) will encourage commenters to help me learn about myself.

So far I've learned:

-That I sympathize with terrorists. (Post 3) by pghoilman. This is news to me. I don't know how to explain so much of what I've done to stop them, including what I had done in the military.

-That I'm like Greta Thunberg. (Post 11) by pghoilman. I don't know if that's more insulting to her or to me. The more I learned about myself from certain commenters on this thread, and if I'm like her, the more I sympathize with her.

-That I'm Iranian. (Post 20) by MeanWestTexan. It's new to me. I guess I have some language and customs to learn.

-That my hero is the man who shot Donald Trump. (Post 32) by MeanWestTexan. I wasn't aware of that. I truly believed, right up until MeanWestTexan corrected me, that Donald Trump was one of my heroes.

-That I'm okay with the attempted assassin murdering a fireman at the Trump rally. (Post 32) by MeanWestTexan. That's news to me. I don't know what massive self-reassessments I need to make but I'm grateful to MeanWestTexan for pointing out how horrible I am.

-I comment like a leftie cat lady. (Post 79) by MeanWestTexan. It's not the style I was going for but if he called it, so it is. I'll have to get a cat... or two, or go back through my Effective Writing course notes and brush up on how not to comment like a leftie cat lady.

-I'm a dimwit. (Post 90) by Lurker. I've suspected that for a while and am grateful that he cleared it up.

-I'm a limp-wristed, cheese-eating, surrender monkey. (Post 87) by wildcard_redneck. I think limp-wristed means I'm gay and I think that the 'cheese-eating surrender monkey' is directed at the French, so I'm French. Sacrebleu.

-I have a mangina and low testosterone. (Post 98) by wildcard_redneck. If true, I wonder why he keeps sending me comments. I didn't realize this was a dating site.

-My name is Ahmed. (Post 129) by packrat35. If so, I'll have to change a lot of things - my name on my mailing address, business cards, credit cards, phone bill, etc.

-I comment like a crying girl. (Post 140) by wildcard_redneck. I guess crying girls and leftie cat ladies post the same. Hormones? Allergies?

-I'm a Jew hater and terrorist defender. (Post 141) by packrat35. This is news to me. I'll have to disclose this to my Jewish friends and also find terrorists to defend.

-I have a boyfriend who got his 'pecker' blown off. (Post 153) by TheThirdRuffian. I kind of got the feeling that TheThirdRuffian was saying this so I'd break up with my 'peckerless' boyfriend and date him instead. I started with one comment on this thread and now I'm getting hit on repeatedly by guys. When did Grindr subscribers join threads on Free Republic?

-I'm Palestinian. (Post 229) by MeneMeneTekelUpharsin. I see that MeneMeneTekelUpharsin admits that Palestine exists. I've seen conflicting statements about that during protests over the last several months but MeneMeneTekelUpharsin sounds like he knows what he's talking about. From earlier in the thread, I thought I was Iranian and then French, but hey, people can change.

-I'm a very sick individual. (Post 244) by EinNYC. I assume that's mentally sick and not physically sick because I don't have any physical symptoms. I'm fortunate to have such a caring medical professional diagnose me here. I've benefitted so much from different categories on the forum; politics, economics, 2nd Amendment Rights, music, gardening (thank you Diana in Wisconsin), and now adding in Mental Health diagnoses within other threads.

-That I live to try to guilt people. (Post 244) by EinNYC. I'm so grateful for that clarification. Right up until this thread, I had no idea what I was living for, but now I know. So few of us are aware of our life calling.

-I'm a player-hater. (Post 252) by one guy in new jersey. I don't know what that means but I can catch up on the trending lingo from New Jersey and find out. If it's a good thing, I'll expand on it. If it's a bad thing, well then I'll have to address it. Am I a combined player and hater? Am I someone who hates players? Is he the player that I'm hating on or is it players in general? What 'playing' is involved? The only 'player' slang reference I know is related to the dating game. Wait, is he hitting on me too?

-I'm Muslim. (Post 256) by MayflowerMadam. It's new to me. I don't know what adjustments I'll need to make but I'm sure she'll help me figure it out. She seems to know so much about it.

-I'm a moron. (Post 259) by TheThirdRuffian. I've suspected this for a while and am grateful that it's not worse - that I'm an imbecile or even an idiot. I may be able to confirm it with the First Ruffian and the Second Ruffian but I don't see their usernames in the system. I'm fortunate that there are at least three of them I can reach out to, to help me with my diminished mental capacity. TheThirdRuffian may have experience from working in the Biden administration and I'm grateful that he shares here on the forum despite his administration being at severe odds with conservatives.

Yeah it happens like that once in a while...then some other thing comes up where your views and some of those others will be in alignment and suddenly we’ll all be friends again.

The world is ugly and the cleaning of it all up is going to get stranger and uglier yet. God in Heaven will direct it as his messengers have been mocked, threatened and many killed and will be killed.

Israel has taken to a new technological strategy...how to reach its enemies without broadening the violence to noncombatants.

There has been muted commentary from all MSM and governments everywhere. I suspect every enemy of Israel is now regarding cell phones and pagers with paranoia! How far can Israel intercept and modify products in the supply chains and what and who do they know who are the supplier operators who sell communications equipment to these actors in the middle east?

Innocence has become a luxury and even the best of us have been cast in shadow!

Too bad Nasrallah was unscathed. But he’ll be scathed soon enough. And the best part is, he knows it.

If Mossad can do it to these guys, your government can do it to you if you have any electronic communication device with a lithium battery. This is unsettling. No arrest. No trial. Just bang!.

In war, unfortunately there is always collateral damage. Israel limits that in more traditional combat operations with tactics that cost them some of their own soldiers’ lives.
