My cousins husband makes homemade red in his house. His wife says its too strong for her. Others love it.

Article left out a great line of Italian reds that are at our grocery store. Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo, from various vintners. $13-$16. They win a lot of tasting contests. We were excited when City Market started carrying them. There are quite a few vintners using the grape, Frontiere (has a piece of vine tied to the bottle) is a favorite. Quercio is tops but hard to find, he only produces 1200 cases a year.

I onlyI support several brick and mortar nonchain liquor stores for wine and spirits,(scotch and bourbon).
Colorado recently changed availability of wine/ beer and it may cause the death of non grocery sources.

I like all box wines myself. Price is good and after you get the first glass down it tastes like high end wine.

Fred G. Sanford:
Listen, I went through a lot of expense to make this a romantic evening. I even got some pink Champagne chilling in the refrigerator.
Lamont Sanford:
You bought Champagne?
Fred G. Sanford:
Well, not really. It’s really ginger ale and Ripple. See, I call it Champipple.

Meiomi pino noir at Walmart, $20. It has a screw top, but don’t let that fool you.
You’re welcome.

And, it fits snugly on a convenient shelf in the pantry. No wine cellar needed!
