Sometimes the refs really ARE biased, Mr. Haass. One or two bad calls in a game isn't sign of bias, but of humanity. When the entire game is filled with one-sided bad calls is when bias gets identified.
Actually, the problem with the two moderators was less the uneven fact-checking than consistent lack of follow-ups to unanswered questions.
No, Mr. Haass. That the "fact-checking" involved outright lies by the moderators make the lack of follow-up pale in comparison. The questions ignoring the elephant in the democrat room - being when did Kamala know Joe was unfit, and why she lied about his state - is almost as egregious.
The moderators letting Kamala slide with word salad flambe in place of meaningful responses simply shows that the mods don't believe the voters deserve to be informed. The other two issues show the mods believe that voters deserve to be lied to.
Did she even answer one question actually?
This is long but it is the best analysis of the debate I have seen

Sometimes really bad refs make calls that throw the game to the otherwise losing team. This is worse, these refs were crooked, they were on the payroll effectively of one of the teams.
