>>>I was a witness to the 1994 plane crash that killed Rich Synder, then-CEO and Lynsi’s uncle.>>>>
I was living in Anaheim at the time. It was shocking. That son was the “good son” and the Christian who started the Bible texts.
You said you were a witness. I’d be interested in the details of what you saw, etc. Such a tragedy.
small world! Yes, and I think Heartland Hospital was on the corner of Amar and Francisquito. It’s where my Mom took me when I popped a wheelie on my motocross bike and came down on my leg cutting it wide open. Still have the scar. Small world indeed.....cool, thanks.

I was in a carpool van southbound on the 55 around 5:30 pm bitching about the traffic when we saw the plane flying by and too close to the jet in front. I didn’t see the plane crash but it hit several cars in the Honda dealership in the SA Auto Mall. Emergency units was there pretty quick.
Why was the plane flying too close to the jet in front?
“Why was the plane flying too close to the jet in front?”
I don’t know on this case. Perhaps the plane misjudged the speed of the jet ahead.
Wow...terrible. I think a person was killed on the ground too. The IN N OUT Jet got caught in the draft of the commercial airliner in front of it as they both headed to John Wayne. I believe the crash even caused changes in FAA rules related to following other aircraft.
Horrible tragedy. Thanks.
