RE: I am hopeful that the general directive to “go forth and multiply” would inspire both denominations of Christianity.
I am hopeful too, but the original question you posed still needs to be answered: If you DO NOT multiply, is it as egregious a sin as committing fornication?
My reading of scripture tells me the answer is “no”.
That won’t happen for long. Medical care will be withdrawn. Already happening in Canada and Europe.

I talked to three Canadians last week in separate conversations. They are all “not unhappy” with their government healthcare. Canada has a minimum level of healthcare and then levels where you pay extra and get more.
The timing suggests a certain correlation and possible causation of the mRNA jabs. Countries that don’t reproduce, die. I’ve seen other stories that seem to indicate more heavily vaccinated countries are seeing sharper declines in birth rates.
The thing is, not all demographics are declining or holding steady and that is the concerning part. Some are exploding which if it continues, puts them in the majority and if you’ve watched how they run things where they are in the majority it doesn’t bode well for humanity.
The law came after this happened but there was another reason.
It is because he did not refuse to marry her, he refused to give her a child.
He did this because he was greedy. If she has a child the child gets half of his grandfather's estate and the second and third son's get one quarter.
If she does not have a child the second son gets two thirds of the estate and third son gets on third.
