Buckhead was in the press recently, commenting on the Fani Willis case in Fulton County IIRC.

You are correct. Buckhead is a prominent Atlanta lawyer and he was involved in the Trump vs Fani case. I forget his name.

I find it interesting that some very prominent people were regular posters on FR back when.

He was quickly doxxed by the media (IIRC the LA Times was hot on the case). It a transparent, and coordinated attempt to discredit his critique of the (obviously fake) memo by linking him to “conservative Republican” causes.

In retrospect it seems like an episode from an earlier, more naive age but it remains a particularly clear example of the Media’s focus and methods. The Times’ first instinct was to uncover the identify of those pointing out the memo was fake, not to ask “hey, wait a minute, this thing does look fishy. Maybe that’s the story?”

That wasn’t a surprise to most FReepers at the time, but it did red-pill quite a few folks who hadn’t been paying close attention before then.
