Hitler was a pantheist who believed in an Aryan Jesus of some kind - very different than the Biblical view of God and Christ.

Same motto that had been used since the 18th Century. SS belt buckles did not say “Gott mit uns” btw; they said “Blut und ehre”.

That phrase is translated from Hebrew Emmanuel, one of Jesus’ names. Quite the blasphemy on their part.
