Please do and then you will realize that this backlash is exactly the point Cooper was trying to make.

We have built the entire post-WW2 geo-political order on the mythology of Hitler being the scape goat for every evil thing that has existed in modern times. It has become a religion upon which all of our actions must be measured.

If a country cares about it’s citizens...They must be Nazis.

If a leader supports Nationalist, populist, protectionist policies...he is literally Hitler.

EVERYTHING must be viewed through this lens and the only acceptable direction is towards progressivism and globalism.

To even question any of the WW2 narratives is sacrilegious and must be deal with swiftly.

For some reason it is socially acceptable to have a myriad of differing opinions on WW1, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, etc... but to question one word of the WW2 mythology is grounds for an immediate cancelling. The only other one that comes close is the U.S. civil war. Ask yourself why that is.

Big Media is and has been dominated by communists. The USSR was communist and influenced communist movements all over the world. Big Education was and is dominated by communists. Russia is, today, the personal plaything of a former KGB officer. China is, today, the plaything of the Chinese Communist Party.

Communists have committed, and continue to commit, more evil than Herr Hitler and his National Socialists ever dreamt of.

OF COURSE Hitler is the Icon of All Evil. Communists can't have the finger pointed at them, now. That just wouldn't do.

I assume this is because our (ie. US run) entire present global financial, security, and political order sprung from WWII, and depends on maintaining this simplistic mythology.

And not because our socially-accepted history is all a pack of lies, either. Its is not. Rather, it is just that it has been over-simplified, with any sordid details that do not show favorably on this story having been removed.

One thing is for undeniably certain - Churchill, and especially those closest to him from his class and generation, took the UK from dominant global empire in 1914, to bankruptcy and also-ran status in a short span of 30-35 years.

A truly wise leader would have avoided such a fate. A stupid one is destroyed by it. An average one just survives it.
