MANY of them - Naval NCO’s and officers too - are morbidly obese.

Depends on their MOS and command.

While working civil service at NSA I had several patients who were active duty officers who weighed over 300 pounds. Intel guys/gals whose jobs were defined as “mission critical” and there were no other people in the pipeline to replace them so they got weight waivers from command.

Amazing, as with everything in America, once we started lowering the standards for the first affirmative action people, the standards kept being lowered, and then more, snowballing until very few standards exist all all anymore, anywhere, and then those people who are in reach leadership and high numbers and continue taking the concept of standards as personally threatening and hostile to them and people like them.
