Disagree.

We need the equivalent of the Solidarity Movement in Poland, which encompassed a wide range of society. People who probably disagreed on almost everything, except on the one thing that mattered at the time, getting rid of the Communist regime.

Indeed! The only way to 'lead the horse to water' in a pluralistic society is to have a similarly pluralistic front.

Christians must lead to Christ. A stable mostly-moral government is nice, but it's not the calling. The ambition to lead and control that worldly government - well, isn't that the pattern that has sullied the image of Christ for centuries?
