I remember him too (Morton Downey) and I was kind of indifferent to him.

That said, a lot of what I see in this is intended to get conservatives running around on how to process it, when in the face of it, the underlying premise is simply false at best, and at worst, a tool. And thus should be ridiculed for what it is, this effort to paint this scene a certain way.

Just my opinion, of course. I think people who are all up in arms about it fall into six general groups:

1. Those who are knowledgeable about it and don't agree with its conclusions. (this is the group I would fall into)
2. Those who have examined it and have reached the conclusion he is an anti-semite, Nazi Lover)
3. Those who are ignorant (not the pejorative term...the descriptive term) but accept it as truth and are bothered by it.
4. Those who want to use this ideologically as a tool to promote division and unrest in their opponents.
5. Those who have a personal axe to grind with Tucker Carlson (find him distasteful, a fraud, etc.).
6. Those who simply don't care.

By my experience these last few years, the people I generally disagree with on this fall into cases 3 or 4.

I believe the people who foster this narrative are in groups 4 or 5.

If I discuss it with people in group 6, I expect to be met with an unenthusiastic "Uh huh".

Because of that (groups 4 and 5) I am inclined to reject it out of hand, but had to watch the video to be sure what was going on in it.
