I really liked Tucker’s interview with historian Darryl Cooper. The most amazing and insightful thing about it is that he clarifies the degree to which history is manipulated to create a desired viewpoint. It’s the same thing the media does now.

I disagree with the degree to which Cooper demonizes Churchill. Churchill’s allies (Poland) were attacked and he engaged in a “total war” philosophy that was somewhat of an acceptable military doctrine since Napoleon. Many German civilians were killed as a result and I do not pass moral judgement on him for what he did in his attacks on Germany. I did agree with Cooper though that there may have been a way to prevent the USA to participate in the war. Participation in this European war was NOT a moral imperative, no matter how many historians say it was.

Similarly, it is not a moral imperative for the USA to support Ukraine. But the media is painting everything in Ukraine through the framework that WW2 historians have created, which is that every nation attacked around the world must be defended.

I believe that the war is deadly and the USA should be less involved in these foreign conflicts. But I also see that benefits of war. War is the number one eliminator of bureaucracy and stupid laws in the losing country - sometimes the replacement laws imposed by the victor are worse, but not always. It will, more often than not, the weak country which has been weakened by stupid laws which loses these conflicts.

The article is asinine and stupid.

"...In the interview, Cooper diminished the Holocaust by claiming that “millions of prisoners of war” had “ended up dead” in concentration camps, suggesting the Nazis did not have genocidal aims against Jews but were simply “unprepared” for the war, among other false assertions. Dani Dayan, the chairman of Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem, said on Wednesday that Carlson and Cooper “engaged in one of the most repugnant Holocaust denial displays of the last years,” calling their discussion “antisemitic, ahistorical” and “an affront to the victims..."

I don't watch Tucker Carlson often (probably 5-10 monologues or interviews at most) but when I see the Left attacking him, I want to know for myself what is real, so I watched that interview.

The "self-proclaimed" historian (which is what the article called him) did absolutely nothing of the sort. Period.

Prominent Republicans find an ally to attack...

If they’re going to engage in random scattershot criticism you’d think they’d do against some Dem.

Cooper isn't a Holocaust denier. He doesn't deny the Nazis killed thousands. He simply said the motive was expediency (because of a lack of planning on how to hold prisoners) rather than anti-Semitism.

This is yet another example of the Republican establishment using the same tactics as the left to smear Tucker.

Tucker hosts the most difficult interviews that he can. Months to set some of them up. A real journalist. He lets them speak their own thoughts, not necessarily at all agreeing, but letting them make their point, based on their perspective. I wonder why he is attacked by the MSM? Now that he is without Fox, as is Kelly and Beck. He will do what he does. The independent media is alive and well.

Soviets attacked the other half of Poland a few weeks later. Ironically no war declared against them. Poles were sold out at yalta along with half of Europe. The Polish pilots who fought the battle of Britain were deported at the wars end too

Churchill’s allies (Poland) were attacked

I've heard that Poland had decent relations with Germany until the latter 1930s. Britain and France encouraged Poland to take a hard line with Germany, promising to back Poland in case of war. (Much like the U.S. encouraged Ukraine to stand firm against Russia.)

After the war, Britain and France abandoned Poland to Soviet occupation, reneging on their promise to preserve Polish independence.

It’s called free speech. Each individual has to analyze and determine the truth. A wide variety of versions will bring out the truth and the fallacy of each presentation.

IMO the people attacking Tucker & Cooper have a lot of insecurities about their historical viewpoints.

The attackers seem more like ideologues than historians.

Starvation was the Nazi plan for dealing with Eastern Europe populations. Herman Goering was one of the chief proponents. German soldiers were instructed to "live off the land" and ship any excess food back to Germany. They starved Leningrad close to complete extinction.

All of this stuff is documented in official Nazi documents. Deliberate starvation was part and parcel of the Nazi plan for Eastern Europe.

You don't have to be a professional historian. All of this is very well documented by countless historians and detailed in volume after volume of books.

I don’t like some of the things Cooper said and I don’t agree with some of the things Cooper has said but it’s his right to say them.

More of the Brown Scare.

Just like the Red Scare of 1919-20, it’s all about more power to the FBI and other organs of State Security.

I like Tucker greatly and he is fearless and goes where others fear to go and it got him fired from Fox. Oddly his firing unleashed him. However, sometimes he goes off the rails but I do admire him that he goes there even though at times he is wrong. If the same standards that were applied to Tucker was applied to all the left wing media many would be fired.

I have been to Dachau. I must applaud the present day Germany in not trying to hide the holocaust but they put it on full display and with detail. When one peers into the ovens and sees where innocents were burned it is a very cold feeling of horror.

Oddly Germany was a very advanced society in science and arts etc. It was a very stark lessen that any society regardless of education, science, arts, and culture can commit the most heinous of crimes. It could happen in our society but we are armed.

When Hitler came to power he disarmed the people. Jews as loyal German citizens gave up their arms. That was a mistake. It should also be noted that Jews fought for Germany in WWI as loyal German citizens. It should also be noted and it is most ironic, our atomic program for the atomic bomb was lead by German and East European Jews. They built it for us instead of Hitler as they had seen his persecution of Jews. They would have built it for Hitler if he had not persecuted the Jews.

This is my own experience with Tucker and while he does show some semblance of normalcy.

However, when I recall ALL THE TIMES I THOUGHT WE WERE ON THE SAME PAGE...all of a sudden, he says or does something that completely obliterates everything he was championing.

You NEVER KNOW AT WHAT POINT IT WILL HAPPEN, but since his days at a show called “Crossfire”, he exhibits strong feelings of something sensible and suddenly...DING DING DING....

HE CHANGES COURSES.

Maybe I am wrong, but I have seen it at least four times.

Leading me to believe that: HE IS A NUT.

If you like him, fine, but just BEWARE>

Tucker should get credit for fearlessness. I suspect that Tucker personally does not agree with much of what was said but was willing to air it anyway.
