Soviets attacked the other half of Poland a few weeks later. Ironically no war declared against them. Poles were sold out at yalta along with half of Europe. The Polish pilots who fought the battle of Britain were deported at the wars end too
Not by Churchill. Churchill understood that the West could only take on one enemy at a time. But he tried to protect Poland in 1943 onward. FDR undercut him, and the Labour won

Churchill opposed non-White colonial migration to Britain. And teh Nazis allied with Muslims, which led tens of thousands to move to Germany at the end of the war.

You are correct that Germany declared war on the US. I guess between 7 December when Japan went to war with USA, and 11 December, when Germany declared war on the USA, I would have liked to have seen some negotiation between the USA and Germany to agree to continue to allow the US to sell arms to the allies, and in exchange there would be no American soldiers. Is that naive? Is that me rewriting history to wish that something happened that didn’t happen?
The more I read about alliances the more I wonder if they are more trouble than they are worth for us.

True. From one madness into the other 🙁
But there are alternatives to these extremes - in the political middle, i.e. conservatism 🙂
