My Great Granny was born Elisabeth Deroche (spelling) in Southern Scotland. Her Mother died when she was a baby and she was given to her Mothers family the Maxwell's.
They emigrated to the States in the 1850’s and Deroche became Durrah, (not my name). She has hundreds of Durrah descendants no Deroche ones.
