I was born and raised in TN, but I also lived in Australia for 25 years, and let me tell you, Churchill is reviled there.
Churchill put Australian and New Zealand troops in the front lines of WWII battles so the British casualties would be lower and not negatively affect Churchill's popularity.

Wasn’t Churchill also a key promoter in the Gallipoli campaign in WWI, where troops from Australia and New Zealand suffered massive casualties?
