True. Reparations for slavery and jim Crow is becoming a mainstream liberal cause. It’s coming out of the lunatic fringe.

Some places have already started Reparations programs.

It may be paused for now but will be pushed in the future.

What about reparations for other groups?

For example, I have extended family whose ancestors were exploited in God forsaken coal camps in Appalachia. Do they get reparations for their ancestors suffering?

What about reparations for homosexuals? There was a time in this country when homosexuals were summarily fired from certain jobs. Are they deserving of reparations?

What about members of other minority groups? Many minority groups besides blacks can claim past discrimination.

So if the legal standard is going to be, that certain groups were not treated equally at some past time, are we supposed to pay reparations to their descendents, as we are on the verge of doing for black descendents of slaves?
