I recently flew and the TSA fool at the security check began to tell me I should go through the machine. I had cobalt radiation treatments as a child, to the point my calf was just a giant weeping hole that wouldn’t heal. My doctor told me to always avoid all unnecessary radiation/ X-rays, etc. I’ve had enough radiation for two lifetimes. But when I ask for a pat down at security... or to skip the dental X-rays at the dentist... they, who met me today, act like they know what is good for me and tell me to get the X-rays or go through the machines. I waited 20 minutes for the stupid pat down.
Next time, I’m going to pretend to faint if they make me wait that long!

TSA gets kinda peeved if you start writhing and moaning during the pat down... 😁

There is no excuse for airport security to treat anyone like that😡. Would a written statement from your doctor help any future situations? (Even to suggest you need papers of some sort makes me cringe).
That some barely educated goof at the airport would question and lecture a free citizen of the USA so publicly is beyond the pale.
I haven’t flown since 2003, and I didn’t want to fly then. I refuse to be treated like a second class citizen because some muzzles want to make trouble for us.
You should definitely try something, like grabbing your chest or acting like it’s hard to breathe (panic attack) see if that moves things along. But it’s awful that subterfuge would be required for a medical reasons those schmucks should be able to comprehend.
Now I’ve gone and gotten myself angry….
The sheep are willingly complying without realizing that the tiny sign above says they can refuse. thingumspouse and I refused at both entry point there and back.and I just stood there and realized how many sheep still exist out there.
It was disheartening to say the least…..unless?, it’s to facially tract all the illegals flying “Bite Me Air” across the country.
Horrible you had to go through such insane treatment. The medical/pharmaceutical industrial complex has to reform itself or fade away into nothingness.
What to speak of the TSA. It needs to be scrapped entirely.
