To me crypto is a scam and I’m surprised PDJT promotes it. But financial topics bore me so I’m likely wrong. :-)

I am of an age that I'm against every new thing...before I'm for it.

But have decided I have to take a closer look at crypto, and block-chain in particular. Recently found out they're selling digital art with embedded blockchain technology so it cannot be ripped off and duplicated.

PDJT probably got the wakeup from Musk and the other techies who have recently jumped on the Trump train.

Any crypto may have a finite number of theoretical units which gives everyone the feel goods with respect to it backing value, but they are infinitely divisible and whatever it’s benchmarked against (along with itself) can be collateralized, rehypothecated and tranched into derivative contracts.

It’s NOT hard to have a physically backed paper currency whose growth roughly tracks the productivity increases of the economy and the expansion of the reserve medium. You can even have accounting in this in digital form.

What IS hard, is not falling for all the sob stories and woe-unto-all tales arising from not facilitating it’s growth at physically unsustainable levels to allegedly “benefit all” when time and again ALL that results in is crashes and the acquisition of Joe Citizens assets into larger and larger corporations who end up being able to finance the acquisition of all the physical assets and pawn off all the losses on the taxpayers roped in to support the system.
