The Posse Comitatus act prohibits the military from being used to enforce civilian law. It came about due to abuses experienced during and after the civil war.
This does not prohibit the military from fighting foreigners on United States soil! The military is OURS and for OUR protection. it is not for fighting in any and every podunk country the current or past administrations want to war in.
This act has been twisted and turned until most of “We The People” can't seem to grasp it anymore.
And yes, if the President wants to use military force on citizenry for some uppity damn reason (like Waco)congress must first approve it.
We can and should use the military at the border. Posse comitatus has nothing whatsoever to do with it.
Around 2006 I delved into CDC vaccines while studying up on flu. At that time the CDC had a chart of every vaccine available in the US with a complete list of every single ingredient. It was like reading a horror story. Everything from all those chemicals listed and more, dog kidneys, human blood, monkey parts, and on and on. I was never able to find that complete list again. Hmm let do a search.

Unfortunately control of our border areas are under civilian law enforcement control. If politics were absent, that would be more than sufficient. Use of soldiers to 'guard' is a waste of good soldiering.

If they meet the standards of the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC), you are absolutely correct. Until then they would be under law enforcement duty definition. After that call is made however, foreigners and citizens alike engaging in 'war' activities are 'illegal/prohibited' combatants and a few other terms. They have ZERO protection under LOAC and can be slaughtered in place, even if they surrender, although it is unlikely US forces would do so because of their training. All military tribunal fordder for illegally participating in war without following the rules.
