I don’t think she has hebephrenia. Many people noticed, and commented on the fact, that her cackling abruptly decreased and almost stopped once she became the official candidate.
There was so much ridicule about that that most likely her handlers told her to “nip it”.
If she has a true medical issue she wouldn’t be able to control it, and she is.
Watching her painful interview, it seemed that she got a deer-in-the-headlights look on her face in a moment when she would have cackled in the past. Maybe not, and it’s just my impression.

It could have been curtailed with medication; but no, I don’t think that’s really what happened.

If it is a behavior issue, the question becomes is it biochemical or psychologically caused? My guess is that this is psychologically caused as it blocked an aspect of her psychological development in her teenage years.
Behavior modification techniques can repress certain attributes. I mentioned previously that it appears she has been coached with behavior modification techniques as the silliness was her coping mechanism to deal with fear. It was apparent that the fear surfaced again in the most recent interview.
Many psychological medical issues can be altered. Hypnosis is often used to do this. Psychotherapy is a better tool.
