A SWAT team Thursday swarmed a Redlands nudist ranch and ripped apart the home of a person of interest in the disappearance of a missing couple.
AIR7 footage captured a large tank-style police vehicle tearing down the front of the home where the person of interest may be.
"We are using remote equipment to conduct a search currently. We have not yet located anyone inside, Redlands police spokesperson Carl Baker said during a press conference. "We don't know where the subject is. He may still be inside, or he may be somewhere else on the grounds."
Investigators returned to the area Thursday to follow up on a tip that led them to the person of interest, who lives right next door to the Menards.
That person of interest has not yet been identified.
At one point during the standoff, the armored vehicle got stuck in a hole that formed in the ground and had to be pulled out. A deputy was inside the vehicle, but he appeared to be uninjured when he was rescued.
Friends say the couple, who is part of a possible lawsuit against the ranch, was being harassed and fear that may have had something to do with their sudden disappearance. The couple is very active in their church and in the Olive Dell community.

Sounds like they broke the septic system. That’s going to be a $30,000 repair.
Was the hole in the ground a new volcano developing? Was it a crater from the mortars being fired at them by heavily armed suspects? What do they mean, "formed in the ground"?
I thin Olive Dell is the name of the nudist colony. I don’t know if their church is located there or elsewhere.
Did they find Matthew Perry’s killer yet?
First sentence of the posted excerpt says Redlands is the nudist camp.
At one point during the standoff, the armored vehicle got stuck in a hole that formed in the ground and had to be pulled out.
Found the septic tank I see.
Near as I can tell, they lived next door to the house that is being batter-rammed.
From the pics it looks like a hoarder garbage pile inside.
Read somewhere the couple was part of a lawsuit against the nudist colony.
Pure speculation: The victims and neighbors were suing to have the garbage guy thrown out.
But what the facts actually are will come out later.
Police should have to follow a certain standard to search someone’s house. And presumably, if they’re making such search, That person hasn’t been convicted and has a presumption of innocence.
Perhaps they just wanted to use their remote-controlled demolition toy.
The first question on everyone’s mind must be “Did all the officers make it home safely that night?” Because, after all NOTHING is as important as that. Not even the Constitution, property rights, beloved pets, or anything else.
Right, that was the hole that, “Formed in the ground”.
How bad does that look? They danced all around it by saying, “Our armored vehicle got stuck in a hole that formed in the ground” (It likely went into a septic tank) And it probably took heavy duty tow vehicles with booms to get it out.
This couple decided to get undressed a might earlier.
Most nudist camps are full of deviates, kinky sickos and assorted mental cases.
wtf?! are they sending remote controlled robots to demo the guys house?
so much for search warrants being inspected.
>> A deputy was inside the vehicle, but he appeared to be uninjured when he was rescued
Appeared to be uninjured. That’s a shame.
I’m broadly supportive of law enforcement.
I’m highly unsupportive of this “playing army” sh!t.
>> But what the facts actually are will come out later.
Your faith in mankind is admirable, if perhaps misplaced.
