I'm not justifying urban ferals, but it was 2:10 am; not a time for your normal elderly guy to be stretched out on a bench in a subway station. I'd like to know how a wino or derelict makes it to age 76. Not that they shouldn't have a right to live and be unmolested, but I think there is more to this tragic story.

Maybe a guy who lost his beloved spouse recently and turned to alcohol or drugs. FWIW, I lost mine less than two years ago and could've gone down that road were it not for incredible support from children, extended family and ever her pet pussy cat.
