The former Nevada politician who was accused of fatally stabbing a Las Vegas investigative reporter after a series of critical stories was found guilty of murder Wednesday in a trial that highlighted concerns around press safety. Telles, a 47-year-old former Clark County Public Administrator, had pleaded not guilty to murder with use of a deadly weapon in the September 2022 death of German, a longtime Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter.
Prosecutors alleged Telles killed German because he was angry about the reporter’s articles exposing turmoil in his little-known political office and was concerned about another upcoming article. Telles wore a disguise – including a large sun hat – and hid outside the reporter’s home before fatally stabbing him, prosecutors said.

“Democrats” are synonymous with “evil,” it would seem.
One thing they’ve proven......under the right circumstances many of ‘em are capable of just about anything.
This investigative reporter did nothing more but shine the light of truth on a very troubled politician and it got him dead.
The killer claims a real estate company had the reporter killed and framed him -- and apparently right down to putting the killer's DNA under the victim's fingernails. Genius.
The DA giving a press conference now answered the decision to not seek the death penalty.....he said they take it on a case by case basis and this one didn’t qualify.

If he was a Republican the first sentence would read:
"Republican politician Robert Telles, a Republican, a 47 year-old Clark County Republican public administrator who supports evil Republican Donald Trump..."
The problem with liberals is that they are their own moral compass.
If he were a Republican, it would be in the headline. Why do you suppose that is?
