Nobody want a manual transmission in a super car.

The human element not only is slower than the auto, they are dangerous too. Uncontrollable.

Long version of “turbochargers take energy OUT of the exhaust stream, they don’t add it”

I’m well aware of the benefits as I’m spending a fortune on a hybrid turbo upgrade.

Yes. I like manual transmissions. I also like shop manuals.

My feet don’t like manual transmissions any more, though. I drive a lot with my thumbs these days.

I’d say it is more about “parody” than illegal.

They said that it was also burning the body of the car.

Back in the day I had a ‘72 Chevelle with a 454. It was not an lS6, but perhaps a LS4 like you say. It had plenty of power and a cool functional cowl induction hood.

".I have owned both Corvette and Miata"

They make kits to put V8s in Miatas. I had a stock '94 4 cyl Miata.

I absolutely loved my Datsun 240Z (‘72) with manual transmission.

My first wife made me sell it because it scared her. She also made me sell my AuquaCat because she was afraid of the water.

Four years later, I got rid of her, but my Z and Cat were gone.

You mean you can pull those kind of stunts on a street & get away with it? How many folks could keep a street wheelie under control?

Some say the C8 isn’t a corvette anymore.

And where can you really use that power? Unless you’re on a track you’re probably putting others at risk just using all that power.

Or yourself, many a 911 driver has crashed the thing going backwards around a corner, oversteer.

Some say the C8 isn’t a corvette anymore

Why, because of the improved handling?

never really was into speed, I always wanted a car that would simply smolder the tires when ever you felt... immature! lol... and didnt wear out over time and would still roast em even after the 10 sets of tires!! seems like all the muscle I ever bought(used), didnt last long in that area!!

because the new vettes are mid engine

One of the main reasons they handle well.

I’m sure they handle fantasticly. I’m too tall for them but I fit into my 1990 Nissan 300zx nicely.

Once when my daughter was visiting I offered to go pick up some takeout. She handed me the keys to my SIL’s Genesis Sports Coupe. The next day he said to her, “Why did the fuel mileage average drop so low?”
