True. In the early years of Hollywood westerns, Winchester and Colts were the mainstay of studio armories. Later, more historical accuracy was sought. Lonesome Dove for example featured Henrys, Winchester 1866, and Winchester 1873’s in addition to the later Winchesters and Spencers. Yea, I’m a gun nut, and look for these things in movies.
