I have a motorcycle endorsement on my Hawaii drivers license.
I quit riding as have many others because we got tired of bad Hawaiian drivers trying to kill us all the time.
I preferred the Gold wing, very quiet, powerful and reliable.
I viewed Harleys as my fathers generation toy and I wanted reliable transportation. I used to commute in WA state 65 miles a day on my Gold wing and only stopped when roads were icy.
I lived on Oahu many years. I too have a motorcycle license. I couldn’t imagine riding a motorcycle on that insane place. It was dangerous enough just to walk. I lived in Lani Kai. I dreaded, hated, when I had to go to “town.” Some of the worst drivers I had ever seen. There is a reason for the “Asian driver” stereotype.
