I eat virtually no fiber at all. No problems at all. Fat lubricating the tube is better for keeping things flowing than fiber.

I remember comments of the Father of Ex-Wife who said of a restaurant frequented by mostly older patrons that there was an ambulance picking someone up about every 2 weeks and that they probably should put an emergency call button in the restroom.
In addition to heart attack or stroke, the straining might also result in a burst Aorta.

You know, that would seem to be a threat of sort.
If you have that, I would see a specialist for benign prostate enlargement. I have put up a few studies on treatments for that, before.
