I think it would be of interest to throw Bible books up for discussion, one book at a time.
In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Anyone Interested in a Book Club style thread wherein we listen and comment on David Suchet's reading of the NIV Bible?, Jonty30 wrote: |

That sounds good.
Yours might be the better method.
Rather than focus on the the readers style, focus on the text such as a book, a chapter, or even sections...I believe book by book.it’s better, because they have larger unified themes for discussion, thereby building one another up.
Maybe rotate leaders for each book, who will lead by laying out a reading/listening plan and with each part such as instruction, body section and summary with discussion questions. Maybe a new leader choosen by simple vote, after the freeper offers to do so. The first leader and book...vote on how to begin that too maybe.
The catch will be the hobby horse riders (we know who they are here at fr) who will try to cause dissension & division. This must be considered in advance. Maybe like a caucus thread with declared boundaries of behavior.
