No, Wikipedia hasn't been "taken in" by the scam.
The Lefty Wikipedia editors have been hiding Walz's stolen valor stuff on his Wikipedia "Talk" page - doing what they do best.
Most people have no idea what this means. I do because I pay attention and because Mr. Mercat served in Vietnam. But mostly it’s calling attention to the fact that “he served!”
The media will tell the voters that this is a right-wing lie. The voters will nod.
Vance will probably do something involving the coin. Vance is turning out to a very good choice.
The idiot phony soldier claimed a CSM rank that he didn’t qualify for. His final rank was Master Sergeant. He never went to Iraq or Afghanistan but implied “carrying weapons of war” as in Afghanistan. He even lied to Gold Star families and congressional records. The OEF medal stated that 30-60 days in combat zone. Maybe it was broader early on in the war but I don’t think he even was awarded it at the time his Minnesota National Guard deployed to ITALY. The MNG as a whole had a MOH,Silver Stars and KIA in the WOT. Bottom line is that Walz is a disgusting phony scumbag and played a very small part and never sniffed a combat zone.
My dad was frocked for a period of time. I remember he called it a “phone promotion.”
I’d almost feel sorry for him, if he wasn’t such an arrogant prick.
He’s been a loudmouth bully, a lying creep, and radical Socialist his entire career.
He’s played free for all with taxpayer’s money, to buy votes and make friends. Now the state is being overrun by third world dirtballs, who think everything is owed to them, and Walz is delivering. I won’t say what I really think of him.
This all reminds me of the bumper sticker which says, “I was a Vietnam veteran before it became popular”. I liked wearing the shirts and caps I got at reunions just to irritate the people in Eugene Oregon.
Didn’t even know congress had challenge coins.
The stolen valor is strong with this one.
"...Now in June 2005, Julin walked into a meeting at the camp again, and was told Walz had “quit.” “The issue that had came out of this was, first of all, how did Tim Walz quit without discussing with me because I was his next level of leadership.”
“The other issue that came out of this was that the individual that approved this was two levels higher than myself in the enlisted corps and should have had Tim Walz come back to me and discuss why he was going forward or not going forward now after he already told me he was going forward,” he said.
Julin said because of Walz’s rank, he should’ve known protocol for how he was supposed to go about exiting the military. “Tim Walz knew the process and procedures, he went around me and above and beyond me … basically went in there to get somebody to back him … it was just a backdoor process...”
Despicable. Just despicable. This shows this "lower-than-whale-sh*t" guy Walz in an even worse light, and I didn't think that was going to be possible.
He jumped the chain of command for something like that. Jumping the chain of command for a moral issue is ONE thing. If someone is encountering a moral issue with the person directly above them, they owe it to them to to speak face-to-face with them, IMO. I understand there are times that might not be possible. The point is, I can find situations where jumping the chain might be the only way.
THIS damn well sure WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE situations. This was so disrespectful and calculated that it would even overshadow his apparent cowardice.
