You’re welcome.
As a long-time dancer (and fan of all kinds of dance), I initially loved watching their mini-routines set to music from the day. But those songs are chosen because Robert Shinn likes them, not because the dancers necessarily do. And essentially, they believe they’re dancing for their eternal life.
Which is one of the most ungodly things I’ve seen in real life. It’s a tragedy, and I really can’t watch their dance videos with a clear conscience. I can’t support that kind of religiosity and legalism, combined with what I believe to be spiritual oppression.
As talented as these dancers are, superimposing Trump and Musk’s heads on them gives me a sick feeling.
I totally understand. I have eschewed any movie with Tom Cruise in it, because of the Cult of Scientology.
My love of the Cinema has been blighted by the revelations of child abuse and other sexual abuse in the industry.
I’m a Rock musician and do all kinds of 70’s music, but refuse to do anything by Cat Stevens due to his militant islam. (even the beautiful song “First Cut is The Deepest” is ruined for me, bringing visions of beheadings and slasher honor killings). NO Cat Stevens! No matter how good the song is!
So, yes, I understand. I had no idea about the origins of those dance moves.
