There's no humility in government anymore, and this is a huge problem. Working in government is supposed to be a public service - not some kind of bizarre affirmation of false 'superiority'.

You’re right. And it’s particularly true at the federal level. “I am a federal employee.” “You are on federal property.” Etc.
They throw the word “federal” around like it’s some sort of all-powerful, magical word.
It’s also not supposed to be a lifelong thing or the fast track to personal wealth, both of which it seems nearly every member of Congress achieves.

Which is why I've long called for TERM LIMITS and that all political donations be ANONYMOUS (You can't sell influence if you don't know who's buying). Serve a couple of terms, then go live under the laws you passed.
