It doesn’t really bother me that Walz would order such a thing. It’s to be expected from garbage politicians like him.
What bothers me is that any police officer would obey such a vile, unconstitutional, and potentially harmful order. (Harmful because someone could get hit in the eye.)
There are lesser examples of this on YouTube. A citizen is speaking in an orderly matter at a public meeting. He is doing nothing wrong, but what he’s saying upsets the mayor. The mayor tells the cops to remove the speaker. Like good little drones, the cops remove him.
How about this instead (to Walz and to that mayor): “Sorry sir, but that’s not a lawful order.”
Yeah, that sure would be nice alright. But, you know, back here on Planet Earth, that's never going to effin' happen. Plan accordingly.
As it is, my concern is less with a dime-a-dozen Leftist @sshole like Walz than it is with the people of Minnesota themselves. After all, they elected Walz to high office, did they not?
I'm coming to a better appreciation, I must say, why my Southern ancestors came to the realization, back in the mid-19th century, that they really didn't wish to share a country with people of this ilk.
The problem is that despite many of us FOR YEARS telling people that cops care about their PENSIONS first and the citizens last, most don’t seem to understand till a paintball hits them in the face...
I suspect that the police chief sent out a letter or called a meeting stating
