Well, this is one way to save coins! A New York couple is going viral after revealing that they saved thousands of dollars by charging their wedding guests a fee to attend. Nova and Reemo Styles had their guests cough up $333 each to join them at their love celebration, per ABC 7.
And I said, ‘People choose to go to Beyoncé concerts because they know that they’re gonna have an experience. Let’s put the stress on the guests, and let’s sell tickets for a wedding,” she said.
Ultimately, 60 of the 150 invited guests paid and came, per The Daily Mail. However, others clapped back about the $333 fee, and an estimated 80% of their guests bowed out. Nova recalled an invitee asking them, “Who do you guys think you are? Jay-Z and Beyoncé?” The bride, Nova, recently told ABC 7 that they considered their wedding a premium event and decided guests should pay the price.

I have a nephew getting married in the fall in Cambridge, MA.
We are going—should be interesting—have no clue what to expect.
(Flashing red light—their wedding web page said that their “progressive politics” is part of what brought them together. This is hilarious Whitopia virtue signaling.)

If you consider it in the context of grifter and not bride it makes a whole lot of sense. 😏

They should put the money in a special account and give it back when the marriage ends.
Yep.....it is who you think k it is
Who you thought it was. Many of us expect just about anything to come from just about anybody.

I attended one Unitarian Wedding (groom was a libertarian Rosicrucian and now Wicca leader, bride was non-serious Jewess). So he smashed a glass. He also had another friend and me throw little exploding things instead of rice at them as they left, as it was Independence Day. The bride was non-plussed.
The marriage lasted less than a year.

Extraordinary tacky. The men wore a pink sports jacket and black burmuda shorts. The bridesmaids wore like green??
My stomach hurts.

The friend who got my wife and I together had such a wedding. We didn't go. It was fairly short notice and I was on a big work project and couldn't just leave for a week. Was caught in a similar dilemma once, so I understand totally!
Though, with me, it wasn't a "big work project." Rather, it was a case of "the socks in my sock drawer aren't going to sort themselves, you know!"
Regards,

I have read of other people of all races, creed, and color trying this on their guests and most of the time it really doesn’t work. Greed always raises its ugly head.
