Thank you for the inside dope! I love visiting Lynchburg, and wish I had moved there some time ago when I had a chance.

For any reading who have never been there, it is a leafy, hilly town with the James River running through it. There is a charming waterfront restaurant, business and hotel area, a stock of lovely old houses in the historic center of town, and newer suburbs and malls to the south and west. Liberty University is one of the largest businesses there. Down the road not far is Thomas Jefferson's retreat house, Poplar Forest—so charming and historic.

It’s a really cool place, and it just made Livability’s list for top 100 places to live in the United States.

We moved out of the city almost two years ago, back to the wife’s family farm, but we’re only about 20 minutes from downtown.
