Trump’s late father is said to have transferred hundreds of millions to him via companies that lent him money without requiring repayment. On balance, he’s done better than most children of the very wealthy, in terms of building upon the wealth he inherited. For instance, unlike Trump, Bloomberg’s and Gates’s children will never make 10x what they received through running an actual business.

But as an entrepreneur, he’s mediocre, at best. The trail of busted businesses he’s helmed is a long one.
