I know there are some comments in this thread deriding this woman’s politics and censorship (and such criticism is valid, IMO), but, damn, to be suffering from a terminal illness *AND* have your kid O.D. on drugs at the same time... well, it’s a reminder that all the money and prestige in the world can’t spare you from human suffering.
She had more than mere money or prestige. She had significant power and influence.
Even so, no one can escape the Judgement of God, whether in this life or the next.
I can’t imagine anything worse than losing a child.
