I always buy top of the line laptops for several thousand dollars. Then keep them for a long time.

My current laptop I bought in early 2016, while Obama was still president. 32 GB RAM, 500 GB SSD.

I always try to improve with every laptop. So my next one should have 64 to 128 GB RAM.

All well and good. You are computer equipped, not stripped.
Then why are you using Windows 7 to get on the internet? You say Windows 7 might be the source of your problems w email programs.

I am typing right now on a 2017 i5-8400 desktop. I knew that it would be Windows 11 upgradeable.
