Just like their measures of public schools: Gotta spend a lot of taxpayer money to get a good score. The actual results/circumstances get pushed down in measurement.
“Our rural NH town has a history of three recent murders. NONE have gone to court.”
What does that mean? And was this one, two or three incidents?
Unsolved? After how long?
Police have suspects in each of the three cases—spread out over 20 years—but can’t make a case (to bring to court).
My guns must be lazy...
;)
Thanks.
I suppose if they only deal with one murder every seven years, they may not have an especially skilled detective department.
These stats are crap since so many PDs are no longer reporting their crime stats to the feds.
Everything produced for public consumption passes through a political filter with some of the filters being quite extreme. It’s important to not only look at who’s producing the product, but under whose auspices it’s released.
This is such a BS list it’s beyond comprehension how it’s not parody. You’re unlikely to get in a car crash but murder? Good to go 👍🏻
Sounds like the ranking someone did of best places to work that was based almost entirely on how gay friendly the area was.
“They ranked high as far as access to emergency facilities.
So they consider those places safe because if you are a crime victim you will be near the emergency medical facilities needed to take care of you?”
It’s the chicken/egg thing. They never stopped to think maybe they NEED to have a lot of emergency medical facilities - because those places are unsafe and they are there because in those locations get a lot of “business.”
11. San Mateo County, California
You will need a LOT of $$$ to live there. My cousin, medical doctor, wife, cardio surgeon live there.
