Reminds me of this clown I knew. I gave him a real douchy nickname and he said “nice try. Nobody calls me that.” Two minutes later another guy walks in and calls him the nickname I gave him.
In the military, it was clear that if you were given a nickname, you had to either own it, work your way out of it, or live with it.
Bitching about it only made it stick all the harder.
