took a cursory look at stuff...(ActBlue donations) head scratchin my head over 99 cent and 1 cent donations....

Yes, some look strange, some show three or more on one day. .50, 5.00, and 2.00 for example. Think that is actually just one $7.50 donation with 2.00 earmarked for one candidate, 5.00 earmarked for another, and .50 set aside for ActBlue expenses. You can see earmarks by clicking on the arrow to the right of donation.

Noticed WinRed (R version of ActBlue) donations were similarly split up with 2 differences:

1. Donations under $10.00 were rare.
2. Number of occupations showing retired are much less.

Read somewhere that over 50% of ActBlue donations show occupation as retired (or unemployed) vrs less than 6% for WinRed)

Suspect that ActBlue got names for fake donations from SS or medicare rolls? Just a guess.

Think the beginning of the fake or illegal foreign donations started when Obama ran for POTUS (against Hillary in primaries) in 2008. Recall Hillary complaining about the Obama campaign not verifying CC information making them vulnerable to foreign donations. After Obama won it became the MO (not verifying CC's) for the Democrate party, making possible illegal donations from foreign billionaires, drug cartels, or money being laundered back to D candidates from taxpayers money sent to foreign countries (Ukraine especially) or funds sent to causes like the Paris Climate Change agreement, etc! That is why and attempts for oversight of these funds are always unsuccessful!
