Exactly. Depending on the state is a no win for the small town residents.
I’ll never have to worry about this in our NH property we’ll be building our forever home on. Any such stupidity will be on the ski area mountain well away from us but still in town. I’ll be making lots of rental income from skiers eventually in the mobile home I renovated there, still a work in progress but mostly done.
There are two wind turbines at the community college in the nearest city to the North of us. There spinning even when there are no winds. These things are powered from the grid to get them spinning and keep them spinning. It’s one of the least efficient methods of creating electricity ever.
Most efficient is hydro, water powered generation!
