Such rumors are legion. While that might have happened a time or two 800 years ago, it doesn't happen now. A Lutheran carpool friend told me he had heard that the sewer by the Carmelites in Rockford was clogged with aborted babies. Which was ridiculous if for no other reason that no Carmel has more than 21 nuns, and most are well past child-bearing years. It is so easy to make rumors about cloistered nuns because they don't hear the rumors, and hence have no response.
