I hesitate to think of them as being idiots when supposedly, they're so damned "useful" to the Democrats. On the other hand, I cringe at the thought of all the useless Republican idiots in Congress and maybe a few at the state level as well. If you're satisfied with the current Republican party, something is wrong.

For the most part, the elected politicians are merely the front men for the far-more powerful people whor really run the operation: the tens if not hundreds of thousands of unelected bureaucrats.
