Was it across the whole upper torso, or just right or left side? When Hubby had it, it was only on half of his body. Same for my aunt.
A cousin (just turned 80) is recovering from shingles on her butt & her ‘unmentionable’ parts as she described it. I cannot begin to imagine how horribly painful that must have been. She was visiting her sister for 3 weeks across the country & came down with the shingles at the end of her trip - had to fly home, barely able to sit. She got Valtrex & steroids, then most recently, needed antibiotics. Her ordeal has been almost 2 months. The blisters are in the process of healing, but the skin is still very tender.
