“ Google is accurate. Kamala Harris is black. But she’s not African-American. She’s not descended from American slaves.
But her skin color is “black”. And she has some African blood on her father’s side.”

I work in IT and as such, have interacted with hundreds of Indians over the years. I’ve never asked them specifically, but none of them viewed themselves as black. They were brown. India is in Asia but they also don’t refer to themselves as Asian.

Trump, per usual, is right. Pointing out that she’s Indian is brilliant because she was trying to leverage her skin tone to make inroads with the black population. They feel differently about Indians than African heritage blacks. That she panders to each group and we can all see it is icing on the cake.

Many slave- or freedman-descended American blacks also can't stand recent immigrants from Africa, who are more like white Americans than AA's are. Because Africa is poor by materialist standards, the Africans who have come here lately are generally motivated, educated, bi- or tri-lingual upon migrating, appreciate American opportunity, and are conservatively Christian. The several families in our town from Africa and their visiting friends and relatives are wonderful neighbors. They obtained professional degrees here and have raised lovely, polite children.
