Had a local fast food chain store try and force me to place may own order a while back. I started to, but it was horrendous. The software was unbelievably bad. The menus were in illogical order. You could could not select more than one without find it in the menu a 2nd or 3rd time. The line was piling up behind me. Then I just said that’s it. I will never order in here again and walked out. I never finished placing the order.

SubWay is pushing those apps too. All you can get from the apps are cookie cutter subs. No place to enter special preparation instructions. The thing people normally can say while they watch there sub being made. Like how much of this or that. Or how to apply the condiments. Imagine standing in line and having to wait for them to make a sub order from an app when those people are not even on the premises. They can stick there app where the sun don’t shine.

I bet you never opened the SubWay app! It gives you all the options. When you select an item it gives you options LESS/REGULAR/MORE.

That is not an AI system. With AI you just tell it what you want in no particular order.

Quicker than standing in line watching people try to decide on what they ...

I can’t imagine that being the case. Every point-of-sale kiosk app I have ever seen allows changing quantity both within the menu and then at the final checkout screen.

Regarding Subway, I checked the app — the sandwiches allow all the same choices you’d get in the store. I went all the way through just short of actually placing the order.
