I know you’re a capable guy so I think you maybe just got a little frustrated.

The McDonald’s kiosk interface is considered in the industry to be highly successful and efficient. The one criticism I have is that the vertical aspect is too large — you end up having to scan up and down to different parts of the display, straining your neck on the process. And I imagine that bifocal users have an extra challenge, but OTOH I have seen some very elderly people using the kiosks.

Okay, I’ll admit it. I approach these kiosks already heavily biased against them.

There are people in our society who, for whatever reason, can do no better than working at a no-skills job. This is not meant to disparage them. All work is honorable.

Kiosks and self-serve checkouts take jobs away from those people. So I will avoid using those things when I can. And yes, I totally get that idiotic Democrat policies are forcing companies to move in that direction.
