The only one I can really claim is Reasons by Earth, Wind and Fire.
Live is stunningly better than the excellent studio version. Verdine White on bass, Don Myrick with huge sax solo and of course the unparalleled Philip Bailey on vocals.
I just saw them 10 days ago. They gave an incredible performance with Reasons.
However, I will say that I think they were better two years ago. I think they play to the crowd they’re performing for.
Last time they opened for Santana, and they were wildly wonderful.
This year, they opened for Chicago, and it was definitely more subdued.
I love them, though. They’re nothing short of amazing!
