I see homeless encampments everywhere in Tallahassee. There are countless places where people don’t ordinarily go, little enclaves of deep bushes around bridges, drainage pipes, etc. The reason people camp there is because they either can’t for psychological reasons or rules violations go to the huge public shelter. They are often drunk, stoned or outside of reality. They die where they live and are only found by accident by road crews or maintenance people.
Letting the homeless be homeless is not kindness. They need to be forced off the streets where they are an ever-increasing danger to citizens and arrested or institutionalized. If you talk to a few of them, you quickly realize they are not just people down on their luck. They have serious and dangerous issues. Never turn your back.
THANK THE ACLU FOR FORCING REAGAN TO SHUT DOWN THE MENTAL HOSPITALS
